Begin with the grid context
Identify the relevant electricity infrastructure and the questions that need to be answered through the network operator’s connection process. Proximity alone is not evidence of capacity or a viable connection.
Assess the whole site
Record ownership, parcel boundaries, access, surrounding land uses, planning information and potential environmental constraints. Include the likely cable route in the investigation.
Keep unknowns visible
Separate information supplied by the owner from documents reviewed and matters still unverified. A preliminary score helps compare sites, but does not replace project-specific assessment.
This is a preliminary screening guide, not legal, regulatory or investment advice. Project-specific requirements need separate verification.
