How to identify land for battery storage

Start with a clear location and basic land information. Technical knowledge is not required to make an initial submission.

Share the essentials

Provide the municipality, nearest town, parcel number if known, approximate area and your relationship to the landowner. Indicate whether sale, lease or either could be considered.

Add information you already have

Planning documents, photos, access information and known electricity infrastructure can make an initial review more useful. Use “not sure” where details are unknown.

Understand the next step

An initial review is a screening exercise. If a site warrants further investigation, more detailed checks and discussions about land availability may follow. Submission does not imply acceptance or a commitment.

This is a preliminary screening guide, not legal, regulatory or investment advice. Project-specific requirements need separate verification.
